I had to do an emergency repair on a plug hole by using an 18mm thread chaser (not a tap) and using a 18mm plug. 5 months later, it's still there, holding well.

I'm beginning a update and upgrade project on my 63 sedan daily driver. I have all parts needed (some used some new) for the upgrade to a 64 rear suspension with the camber compensator [CC]. I now have a new problem. The overheat switch has failed, but weirdly, the heater works, it just doesn't cycle on/off, just constantly on.

Love the "tin Man" repair. I might have to do that as well, it would certainly continue the semi-steampunk look I am going for where all chrome will be copper.

I had to bypass the purge switch with a toggle switch on the dash. I stupidly left the wires on the body of the heater. You can guess what happened.
