for a minute i thought maybe the condeser went bad, because that's happened to me before and it was running similar to when that happened but, i got it running great again, i had to loosen the valves and tighten them to where they just quiet down, and i left it adjusted like that and went for a driv...

I just replaced the pushrod tube o rings on my 64 vert, i can not adjust the valves properly, i did a static adjustment by the book, tightened the rockers down a half turn, it ran like garbage, so i did a running adjustment the same thing half a turn past when they clatter and it ran great, i put it...

check the ignition condenser, when they fail the engine will run like complete garbage, and i have had so many of them fail, even when new, i would like to know where you can find quality ones these days. i am down to pulling ones off old distributors cause there the only ones that seem to work

my 64 convertible has a dead miss, which i determined to be an issue with the exhaust valve/seat after a leakdown test, i have a pile of cylinder heads and cylinders for 65-69 corvairs, i am wondering if i can swap the later heads/cylinders onto a 64 engine?
