Re: 65 Monza Mirror Location

Interesting. Can't imagine why anyone would move it there. Oh well, it's there to stay now as all the body work is done and it's painted.

65 Monza Mirror Location

Mine only has 1 mirror and it's up on the fender. Does anyone else? I think it might be due to it having the towing package.

Bubble trim

Hi all. Still assembling but in the final stages. I need help with the bubble trim along the rockers on my 65 Monza. Obviously the 2 screw holes at the ends will face down but I also have 2 brackets for them. Not sure how they go and they are a lot shorter than the bubble trim. Is that what the scre...

Re: Horn location

wow, so you have to remove the bubble to replace? Is there just one? Actually I'm not even sure it's the horn. It could be the relay, switch, wires or the horn.

Horn location

Hey all. I've seen the posts on here for Horn Location on right front fender on earlies. Is it the same for a late model? I can't find mine. It may not even be there but I don't see any wires either.

Someone mentioned to me that it's in the headlamp bubble.

Headlight Bezels

So I must be missing some pieces on my 65 Corvair. I have the Bezels but how do they mount? There are 3 brackets that line up with the holes in the bezel. Is it some sort of crimp nut that slides over it? Should they be stainless bolts?

Re: Body stripping for paint

Unless your building a show car, I wouldn't go down to bare metal. Years worth of body work has already been done and in some cases, Lead Filler. You will have to redo all that. Your dual action orbital is the perfect tool for the job. Get most of it off and that will be your base. Block sanding is ...

Re: My Project so far

Beautiful. Thanks for that. Love the rims too. For now I'm just keeping stock rims and hub caps. Caps are in mint condition.

Re: My Project so far

Gladly. My name is Ernie. I'm in London ON and was looking for a father/son project. I found this car on Kijiji for $1200 and paid $750. Once I got it home and started demo, I realized I had a pretty good starting point. I've always adored Corvairs for their unique body style Early or Late models. I...
