Re: Per-Lux Ignitor in Distributor
per-lux changed its name to pertronix........these are still being made. the little thing that goes over the shaft is a magnet ring.......dont remove the green tape - that holds the magnets in. the new pertronix has a different magnet ring - all plastic - so the mags dont fall out. dont leave the ke...

Re: Electronic ignition
what kind of electronic ignition do you have? different ones are wired differently. a switched wire is something that has 12volt when you turn the key *on*. the (+) post of the coil doesnt have 12 volt.........it has a ballast resistance wire in it to lower the voltage.........the cloth covered wire...

Clark's does their cylinder finishing in the proper fixture with pressure applied. a torque plate is different than a fixture that holds the cylinder. looking @ the clarks picture......it doenst look like ...

Re: '65 Corvair Corsa Turbo intake repair
inside hole - you dont have alot of ways to fix that w/hand tools & the head on the car. the threads are @ the bottom of a deep hole & on the corner edge. w/the factory hole......you can drill the damaged threads out - install a sert - but theres no room for a tap. you have to grind the edge...

Re: '65 Corvair Corsa Turbo intake repair
the best repair choice will depend.............which hole? the inside or outside? what kind of repair sert was there? do you know what hole size is there when the sert is removed?

Re: cover that holds the alternator
dont think that orange plastic part was on your plate.............theres nowhere for it to go. everything you need to put the plate back on your engine is already there.
id say the orange plastic part was in the bucket of diesel when you put your plate in there.
