Re: 65 Corsa diff ratio 4 speed

3.55 was the std gear for all corsas.

the std gear for other engines & models could be the 3.55 or 3.27. just depends on what model/engine/trans combo your talking about.

Re: cost to repair corvair plug hole

welding is kind of the ez part of the job. after welding you need to drill the hole for the spark plug. you need to machine the weld flat for the spark plug. you need to tap the hole for the spark plug threads. think about how your going to do these things. w/o the right tools & a mill or a good...

Re: Dash wire harness pin removal

i dont think the tools in the otc 4461 are going to be helpful for the twin lock stuff.

it needs something like the tweezer tool in the lisle 57750 kit. prob the silver tool or the blue one.

Re: Engine Case Plugs

it a universal block. gm parts supply to fit all engines. kind of rare part you have there. in NZ no less!

the big plug is for the wagon & truck oil check/oil fill tube.
the small plug is the oil temp sensor - 1960/61 engines.

My new white CA plates are very lightweight in comparison. why didnt you go w/the original black ca plates? its cool to see a old car in ca w/the orig...

Re: Crank serial numbers ?

yes...............all 64-9 cranks are the same except the 140 & 180 hp engines had cranks which were nitrided. some say that after '67 not all 140 hp engines had nitrided cranks.

sounds like a voltage regulator buzzing? get your ear that that & see if the buzz is coming from it. with a cold engine....remove the fan belt. run the engine w/o the fan belt for a minute or so. if the buzz isnt there then its prob not coming from the engine but from something else................

Re: Carter YH carb choke setup

#1 goes on #2 shaft.

look @ the tang/lever........you can see how the spring goes. the spring lets #2 shaft move....open/close & keeps the fast cam touching the lever. the fast cam should be off the lever w/the choke open & on the big part of the cam w/the choke shut.
