I don't think you will find a key code stamped in the glove box lock cylinder. None of my EMs do.(2 61s 1 62 and 1 64) Trunk lock or door lock cylinders wil...

Re: Front brake line 64 spyder

If you are removing the tank, I would replace the right side brake line also. To get the right side into its retaining clips, the tank needs to be out.

Re: steering lube

Where did you get it from and how much did you have to use?
1 tube is plenty. John Deere farm equip dealers keep it in stock. Since you there are no JD farm equip dealers close to you, call Coastline Equip in Long Beach 562-272-7400 and see if they can get a single tube.

Re: Adjusting Rockers While Engine is off?

I think you should check the timing and dwell. They are both part of a basic tune-up. FWIW, none of the 9 Corvairs that I have, idle like a muscle car.
All of them, except the Ultra Van, have stock engines

Re: Adjusting Rockers While Engine is off?

Why don't you just check the timing if you think it may not be correct?

Re: Slight Change in Engine Speed

Up shift? Down shift? All gears? Engine load, light, moderate, heavy?
Clear the area around the car. Block the wheels, set the E brake, start the engine, give it some throttle and let the clutch out slowly in all the gears. What happens?

The rubber hoses. I have found some that look good on the outside, but have deteriorated on the inside. They swell shut over time.
