Yes, the fan is available although it is built to order. I got mine just before Christmas.

Re: 1965, 1966 4 speed transmission swap
I believe that I have a '65 backup light switch and the wiring connector for it. I have a '66 4 speed in my 65 CORSA. The previous owner installed the 65 switch in the 66 transmission which of course doesn't work. I replaced the 65 switch for a 66 switch and all is good. Anyway the 65 is useless to ...

Installing valve guides ?
I posted this on the other forum and the replies I got didn't really answer my question... It turns out that i have worn valve guides in my turbo engine. I'll need to replace some of them. According to some GM documentation, the head should be heated to 450* before installing seats, guides or exhaus...

Re: Need help with reverse light wiring - 1965 / 1966
One more thing on your backup lights problem. There is a steel ball bearing inside the light switch socket that actuates the switch. It may or may not be in your transmission. It is not listed in any manual. Your switch will not work without it (even if it is the correct switch). I checked with Clar...

Re: Need help with reverse light wiring - 1965 / 1966
The 65 backup switch (shown above) will not work in the 66. You need C5365 from Clarks. The boot for the switch is another problem. I had the same problem as you. My 66 backup lights did not work. The previous owner had installed a 65 switch. I got the correct 66 switch from Clarks and got the conne...

Re: Corvan 95 no Vin no Title
Corvairs usually have a hidden VIN etched into the frame. I have no idea where it would be on your car but someone here may know how to find it.

Re: Turbo carb question
You should post more info on your car…
However, if you have an EM, you can get turbo carb info here:

Re: No backup lights...
Thanks Ted ! I may take you up on that or I might just take a road trip down to your shop (I've been there once before). I'll let you know.
I've also emailed the Corvair Ranch - they may have a cable available. Haven't heard back from them yet.

Re: No backup lights...
Brad, Those are good suggestions and if all else fails I may end up using one of them. The steel ball is not a problem - I can get one of those from a number of sources. In my effort to troubleshoot the backup light problem, I discovered that a previous owner had installed a '65 backup switch in the...

Re: No backup lights...
Brad, Thanks but I have been through all that. The switch is not working with the trans in reverse. Take the switch out and manually push the contact on the end and it works fine. I'm told there is supposed to be a 1/4" steel ball in the transmission socket which presses on the end of the switc...

No backup lights...
I posted this on the other forum, but someone here may be able to help. I won’t go into the history of this problem. Lets just say my backup lights have never worked. I have been told that I’m supposed to have a 1/4” steel ball in the backup switch socket in my ‘66 4-speed. That’s not there. So, I r...

Re: Leak ?
You'll have to take it apart. Remove the top band clamp from the rubber hose. Spray some WD-40 on the top of the hose so the tube will rotate easier. Undo the nut holding the bent tube from the elbow. Turn the tube left to remove it from the elbow. Then remove the elbow from the turbo. The tube conn...

Re: Leak ?
It is the oil return line from the Turbo back into the case. Pretty common to get a leak there.
