the way I understand it is the wire from the start position (the starter solenoid )would only be at 12 volts while cranking and as soon as you released the starter switch it would drop back to the 7 volts

is that resister wire a large white resister with a connection on each to plug a wire into? one end goes to the acc.? on the switch and the other end goes to the brown wire on the regulator and another brown wire goes to the indicator lamp and then to ign. 1 on the switch I have never had it hooked ...

Brad In my case I am using the engine for an airboat and I don't have all of the connecters etc.. that you are talking about I have tach, a volt meter, manual oil pressure gauge have an idiot light when the engine is running, some fuses in the circuits and an ignition switch If I get time I will sca...

second wire from starter solenoid

one wire is to initiate the starter
but the 2nd wire hooked to the solenoid does it go directly to the coil to supply the 12 volts to the coil for starting?
when I hook it that way, engine starts but as soon as I let go of the key it shuts off

where is the best place to hook the wire for my electric choke
would the red battery wire on the alternator be a good place
that way it would only be on when the switch is on

wires going to the coil

black distributor wire goes to the negative side of the coil but another wire goes to that terminal and what goes on the positive side?
I had that on a piece of paper but lost the paper

I looked at them under my magnifier ands there was a little rust in the threads
and after I run them through a wire brush wheel they worked greet

what are the carburetor stud bolt sizes
the block thread is a cuorse thread but the nut end is a fine thread
but I don't think either are standard sizes

I think so to my son works on a lot of chainsaws and small 2 cycle engines and that looks like something out of one of those. anyway I put that cover back on and we will find out in a week or so if there is a part missing I have some stripped threads in 5 or 6 pan bolt threads and then I am going to...

I don't agree with you his picture and mine look the same to me
the screen and is still there undisturbed and I look to the right there is another place where I can see the spring there
