Re: late model inner tie rod ends

Thanks! I've looked through that supplement several times and never saw those. I guess I don't normally pay much attention the that section. I'll check it out. Working on some other ideas as well. We'll see. I appreciate your help.

late model inner tie rod ends

I have found plenty of quality (Moog, Pro-forged) outer tie rod ends and sleeves online for my 1965 Corsa. Inner tie rod ends seem to be difficult to find for some reason unless you want to go with the off shore items or Clarks. No problem with that (Clarks gets tons of my business!) if its the only...

Re: Engine Troubles... Please Help

1.Do you still have the same tank of gas that you had when the first trouble started?....Sometimes its as simple as some bad gas, it happens now and then. 2. Vacuum leak someplace either full on or intermittent? Checked all your hoses, base gaskets and pipes? 3. Clogged or clogging fuel filter eithe...

Re: Stolen Corvairs in L.A. Calif. - suspect arrested

The guy who cut it up may or may not be the guy who stole it. Either way, if the chop shop jerk was arrested there should be a mug shot. It would be nice if the picture could be spread far and wide among the Corvair family so we can keep an eye out for the freak should he be snoopin' around again. A...

Similar situation here. They don't make it easy for the mail carriers, that's for sure. Cafe Press is on to a great idea but I can't help but wonder if they may have outgrown their business model. I hope you get a satisfactory resolution, somehow. Good luck! :chevy:

Re: The 2014 Calendars are ready!

I got my calendar a few days ago. Thanks! Well done again! Dave, I had an issue with my community mail box deliveries a while back. Hate to be a complainer but sometimes you have to send a message. I contacted the postal service and they responded with a process to deal with constant misdelivery iss...

I usually do as well Ted. This time I am looking at a stock like restoration. Not sure I have the discipline to pull it off however! I can't help lean toward some sort of improvement or mod. ::-): Wish me luck, eh!!!

Re: Stock spare tire rim size question:

I think your right Ted. I was also thinking Chevy II as well "-hotrod". Thanks for the input. I will ask around a bit more and If I hear anything different I will post it. For now, it's a swapped out Chevy II rim as far as I'm concerned.... :chevy: The more I think about it, I kinda like i...

Re: Stock spare tire rim size question:

Hello Scott. It is an optical illusion, they are 5.5" rims. The spare is a 4.0" rim. I thought the same thing when I first looked at the picture. Thanks Ted. I also have not seen (but must admit I never looked all that close) a thinner rim for a spare on a Corvair. I thought I would includ...
