My '68 Monza with the original base, 95HP A.I.R. motor came with the 3880708 heads.
I had it out to clean, change lifters, reseal and paint all the tin.
My vote is that they were used for both 110 & 95 engines.

Re: Wanted: photos of Corvairs in certain colors
Norm, That is a great idea/site! I'll go through my collection to see if I have anything you can use. Maybe as time goes on, your site can be augmented with the appropriate interior colors for each exterior color? I'm even thinking it would be cool to match up stock engine compartments with each yea...

Re: Silver Paint on 68 Rear Grill
I was able to do some additional research regarding what is factory original for a 68 Monza. I found that the silver (Argent) paint went as far as point "A".
Thanks for the replies, especially the metal flake idea. I'm going to file that one right away. Hey! Where did my trash can go?

Silver Paint on 68 Rear Grill
According to an excellent document I found on the GM Heritage Center, the rear grill on 68 Monzas were painted silver. Does anyone know exactly how much of the grill area was painted? Where did the silver transition to the body color?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Speaker size? And Question on factory rear speaker?
Jason, Many moons ago I had a '65 Monza coupe. It was my first Corvair and I had a blast with it. It had a 140/PG engine combo, clock and a rear speaker that actually worked when I (my Mom) bought it in '77. I don't remember any details, but I do remember the rear speaker had a metal grill painted t...

Are there any smog pump Gurus out there?
I have decided to keep my '68 Monza's A.I.R. (smog) system complete in appearance. However, internally, I'm removing its lungs. It's the first time I've seen the inside of a smog pump. Interesting piece of engineering and machining! Couple questions: 1. Anyone know how to remove the front bearing? 2...

Re: 1968 Corvair Dealer Brochure
Thanks for your input Kevin, good eye. Wow. The marketing budget for the Corvair effort must have really dried up by 67. So there appears to be 3 versions of this white Vair. 1. The original 67 photo ad you mentioned 2. The airbrushed 68 brochure ad below 3. An airbrushed 68 photo less the airbrushe...

1968 Corvair Dealer Brochure
Hello Fellow Corvairians, I have a couple questions for the Corvair trivia buffs in the audience. These questions are regarding the 1968 Corvair Dealer Brochure. 1) The front cover pictures a white Monza turning left on a cobblestone city street over some train tracks. Does anyone know where that sh...

Re: Monza Steering Wheel Trim
I know some parts are the same like the arm rests and I know the camaro wheel was shared with some other chevys so I wouldn't doubt that they interchange. Aside from diameter the dish and spline size oughta be the other factors. Here's a little camaro wheel info http://www.camaros.org/swheel.shtml ...

Re: Monza Steering Wheel Trim
Okay, here's something I recently was told. The '68 Camaro and the '68 Corvair share the same steering wheel. So I got online to check it out and sure enough, they 'look' identical. (See pics below) I found the look-a-like Camaro wheel at: http://www.rickscamaros.com/camaro-steering-wheel-deluxe-196...
