Re: Rear engine oil leak

They sure can, all you do is replace if you find that's the problem. I would check that first before taking things apart. I bought a new 62 Monza and the sending unit sprung a pinhole leak before it was 6 months old. Clean it up good & wrap a clean rag around it & see if you get any oil there. It wo...

E. Tinted glass all around
2. L 4 speed
3. C Padded dash
4. O Turbo engine
5. W Deluxe Seat belts ( Chrome Buckles)

Looks right to me except that 40 is group 4 & O is Turbo.

Re: quick bleeders

I just let gravity do the work, open the bleeder, put a clear vinyl hose on the bleeder & put the hose in a jar. Keep the master cylinder full, when the bubbles stop coming close the bleeder & move on to the next one. If you don't think it will work just ask the guy coming at my in a 4WD pickup & ma...

Re: 1964 rear axle bearing

If you pull the axles you will have to press the bearings off. It took a 40 ton press to remove mine. Clark's come with shims, the bearing retainer is a bear to get off & on. Just shim as needed. Shims go in first, use the right combination of shims so the snap ring fits snug. I would not recommend ...

Re: 63 Spyder? Help

Here's the finance papers on my 64, Nov. 5, 1964. Lady ordered it & traded a 1954 Ford & got $708.30 for it.
Here is a seat tag too. Better sot of the Vin.

Re: 63 Spyder? Help

Rocker trim on the 63 is ribbed like the 62 Corvette, 64 is smooth & it has trim on the wheel arches. There would be a cut out for the exhaust right side of the grill. My body tag doesn't have a year on it but the vin has a 4. Pics are a bit fuzzy but it's zero out right now. :coolphotos:

Re: Corvairs in the snow or holiday pics

Rear engine cars are great for driving in the snow, i'm almost 74 & have a bad heart so i'm driving it all I can. Rain, sleet or snow a Corvair will go. ::-): Enjoy it while you can, you never know what tomorrow will bring. :dontknow:
