Well i'll be!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just depends what you think it's worth to you. You really give it a good inspection, under the carpet & under the car. Are the floors really rust free? Make a low offer, you can always go up. :my02:

Re: The Gas Heater Saga

Interesting read!! I have a 64 Monza coupe 110 powerglide. Found a leak on the PCV tube going into the engine block thus oil smoke from the right side heat shroud, blocked off the right side heat & the left side hose is the only one sending hot air through the system & it still drives me out...

Re: Oil covered points

He says one plug wasn't firing, this lets fuel & oil blow through the exhaust unburned. Wonder why he's getting smoke from that side. :banghead: Put a new plug in & clean up the distributor & run it for a while & see what the results are. Check the new plug for spark before you put i...

Re: New Sending unit issues?

I had that same problem with a new Clark's sending unit, I took it out and the float was letting fuel leak in through the soldered seam. Clark's sent me a new float. free. Just another thing for you to check if the electrical stuff checks out but make sure you have a good clean ground before pulling...

Re: Oil covered points

I would take the point plate out & give everything a good cleaning & put a new lube wick in & see how it looks after a couple hundred miles. http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/catalog.cgi?function=goto&catalog=MAIN&section=MAIN&page=77 http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/search.cgi?...

Re: PG frustration....

Have you checked the vacuum tube going to the modulator valve. Maybe a small rust through???????? Fluid level OK?? That's all I can think of unless low band needs adjusted. Had my 64 low band adjusted & under normal acceleration I can hardly feel the shift now. I was lucky enough to have a local...

Re: EEM vs LEM...Driving Characteristics...'64 v <'64

I bought a new 1962 Monza 4 speed & at 18 years of age I drove the crap out of it. I got married at 21 & bought a new 65 4 door sedan with a 3 speed & I was still young & drove the crap out of it. I didn't think they handled any different, I also ran the 62 with 28 lbs. of air in the...

Re: 1963 Spyder Turbo Convertible

Not original, seats, rocker trim missing, engine paint, interior paint. Lower end of the scale. If it's in good running condition $6,000 to $7,000 on a good day maybe $8,000. No photo's of undercarriage. Not the quality of the 61 Rampside from what I see. Good luck though.
