Re: 4 speed trans stuck! NEWB

The mount was missing a nut on one side and the other was finger tight with no pin, so I fixed those issues! There was no tension between the rod and trans, when I removed the rod and tried to turn it it would only move slightly I can move it back to front a touch over a 1/4". I removed the ins...

I will be attempting to clean them up today, the previous owner had the buggy stored in a covered parking but it was still subject to the elements and with just the filters on the carbs I suspect water could have also got in from there :td: I was afraid to remove all of the carbs at th...

Fortunately after inspecting the intake and pulling the spark plugs th...

4 speed trans stuck! NEWB

Purchased a corvair powered sand rail and the trans seems to be stuck in gear? Previous owner said he pushed it off of the trailer while in gear and the wheels "just locked up" if you jack it up the wheels spin in opposite directions and once I fixed the clutch it will disengage but it sti...

New Corvair Buggy Owner

So I took the road less traveled and purchased a corvair powered sand rail! :dontknow: it seems like parts are hard to come by and more expensive than vw. But I have heard the horse power is worth it? Not sure of the year of my motor or what has all been done to it but it looks like it was well put ...
