Re: Case Stud Time Serts
Case studs went in well. It's tough to tell in the pics but they're pretty straight. I had no trouble fitting the cylinders and head. Thanks for the input, everyone. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161209/25012ad4c2bf27f42f9f056516d27802.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161209/d9217be21e6b935...

Great stories, Tommy!

Re: Case Stud Time Serts
I have the standard studs according to the Clarks site. In fact, the site says to use the studs I have with the Time Serts they sell so I should be good to go. I'll contact them all the same just to be sure though. Notched, that 3/8" die, was that 3/8-16 then? I think I have one of those somewh...

Case Stud Time Serts
I'm concerned that I need to chase the threads on my new case studs. I've installed 2 Time Serts from clarks, PN C8767L and I have case studs from Clarks, PN C8660. The studs are starting into the Time Certs about 1/4 turn before starting to bind. I don't want to force it and figured maybe I should ...

Re: Insurance
I've insured vair and other cars with Hagerty and they're by far the most flexible. My old State Farm classic insurance on the Rampside had a 1000 mile cap and there were no options. No other mileage options. No racing. Nothing. The policy on my 69 Monza has no mileage cap... though they asked me wh...

Re: U Haul Towing
I too have had the swaying issue towing a Corvair loaded front first. I think it depends on the tow vehicle as to how much you'll experience the issue. I've towed with lots of unstable tow vehicles. Towing with a decent truck, I'm "good to go." Sent from my SM-G900V using Corvair Forum mob...

Re: Halloween Rampside
No comments at all. I was hoping the kids would want to run up the ramp and goof off but they were focused on candy I guess.

Isky vs Reground 180 Cam
There's a partially assembled motor for sale near me with a .280 lift regrind cam in it. Would that cam be similar to an Isky 280 or a similar offering from Otto? I realize that there will be differences and it's tough to generalize a cam off of just one number like this but... similar? Sent from my...

Ha! I haven't changed the belt on my car yet. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be spilling a little fuel with each belt change for a while.

Re: New Owner from Michigan
I 2nd the fuel line. I ran all 5/8" steel brake line with the flared ends cut off. It's a bit tough to bend with your thumbs. Alternately, you can bend it with a cheap bender from the auto parts store or harbor freight. Dont be a wuss. Keep the 4-barrel. ;) Mine has a flat spot, runs poorly whe...

Ha! I had no idea there was a Fontana in Wisconsin. How's the weather there? Maybe not the best for autocross right now?
