APB for Charlie Doerge-Contact info wanted

I'm interested in obtaining a copy of Charlie's book Don Yenko and the Yenko Stingers and I've been trying to reach him for weeks without any luck. I've tried him at 3 different email addresses without any response so I don't know if any of them are still good. Does anyone out there have a reliable ...

Re: Should I be mad or flattered?

It's the same picture, same guy, same price, only the shirt is now red and the image has a square and outer ring is complete. The image appears to be the same. I think the white one looks better. Are they being sold on the same website? If you have the image protected I'd go after the guy. If not, I...

Re: Couple questions an out my 66 tag

I can't help you with the 788-Y or the 5Y but the 01B indicates it was built the second week (B) of January (01). I may be wrong, but with the info I have on hand the C-C indicates the car was originally white.

Re: Woo Hoo - another Auction!

Yes, I know. If you'll check the link and go to their "view cars page 1" link showing the cars you will see that "Corvair Corsica" was how they labeled the '65 red 2 door. Am I the only one that noticed?

Re: Air Breather intake horn(s)

I think the reason is obvious, there's not enough room in the engine compartment for the stock air cleaner with the dual intake horns to face forward. This is not uncommon. I have a '65 Corvette air cleaner that originally came on an air conditioned car. On the non a/c cars the horns are pointed str...

Your new headlights make the car look like it's hopped up on caffiene or something with those dilated eyes!

Re: Naming cars: I don't think its weird

I used to work with a woman who drove a '74ish Pontiac Bonneville. The car was HUGE, kinda ragged looking, and burgundy in color, which somehow made it look even larger. I told her it looked like a battlestar and called it the Galactica. She loved it and the name stuck.

This is not your vin tag, it is your trim tag. I am no expert, but what I can see is: 05A = built 1st week of May ST65 = style (year model) 1965 10567 = Monza coupe WRN = Willow Run assembly plant 17934 = body number TR798 = white seats/black carpet interior Y-1 = Crocus yellow exterior color.
