Re: 8-Door Alert Los Angeles F?B...not mine
P.S. The e-bay listing has several photo's along with the following information: "Here is a very rare 1964 Corvair Corvan 8-door van, one of 718 built. I bought in in 2003 and have used it on my property for transporting all the water pipe and electric pipe I needed to developed my land. I hav...

If it's even kinda decent it is a smokin deal. Only one picture and the price is too good. Could absolutely be a scam...be careful!! https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/926561235917780/?referral_code=undefined This van is on e-bay at the moment http://www.ebay.com/itm/186382058045?itmmeta=01H...

Re: New Clark's oil pan Which gasket?
When I install Valve Cover or Oil Pan Gaskets, I make sure that the Aluminum surfaces are clean and do not apply any gasket cement to those surfaces. By not applying gasket cement to the Aluminum surfaces, it reduces the chances of gouging them when attempting to remove gaskets that have been adhere...

Re: Parts wanted, NOS only.
Are these the 1965 backup light hole fillers you are looking for? There is a chance I might be persuaded to part with them. When I bought these years ago, I bought them "Just to have" but they did not come with boxes so I can't say for sure that they are or are not NOS. For their age, they...

For reference, you could send the place that thinks they have these somewhere these photo's so they might be able to find them easier? These photo's were taken about ten minutes ago.

Re: Building a modded FI 140 for my Wagon
Are you sure that isn't a "710" cap?
Back when I worked auto parts, I would hear of people that came into the stores looking for a 710 cap which often confused the uneducated parts counter idiots......

Re: 1965 Corsa Coupe
Dropped the exhaust today. Fell right off with some PB Blaster soaking. I see removing the old rotted hangers is going to be a chore. I've read the right side actually mounts to the coil stud behind the sheet metal?????? Haven't given the driver side a good look yet. This is really starting to look...

Re: All-Corvair Swap Meet in Penna, April 13 2024
I attended this event last year for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the turnout, selection of parts, and comradery that was there that day.
I would encourage anyone within a reasonable driving distance to give serious consideration to attending.

BEFORE YOU VOTE in this upcoming Election, Please review this information. Come to your own conclusions and make your own decisions. By now the CORSA BoD should be well aware of the self serving manipulative ways of the Self Appointed Administrator over at the CCF. At this time. It is my OPINION th...

RR Block Listed on e-bay at the moment.
I browse e-bay most days to see what might show up that is of interest related to Corvair's and other vehicles I have owned. Today, I saw a RR Block with an "Asking Price" of a mere $3,500.00 and Local Pick Up only from Mocksville, North Carolina 27028. eBay item number:256468825708 (Edit:...

Re: Front Cossmember Question
Even though the crossmember is interchangeable from early to late and late to early, there is one major difference that may be important depending on what your goal is. IF my memory serves me correctly..... The early model suspension has a Round Hole to attach the lower control arm. The late model ...
