Re: For those who don't know me from other forum...

I am trying to do the same and be more active over here as well. Always nice to add to the corvair addiction with more places to post!

Re: Production of 140 HP Corvairs after 1966

I am in the process of convertible me 110 PG to a 140 4spd, pulled it from a junker 69 coupe. Made the conversion a lot easier since the pedals are unique to 67-69 and 69 has a one year only clutch cable!

Re: My 68 convertible's facelift

The car was undercoated heavily by the PO, nasty stuff but it kept the underside of the car solid for sure. I plan to leave what's under the car except in the wheel wells. Get them stripped and paint black and call it good like I did with the crossmember. Car should be running by mid year but not su...

Re: My 68 convertible's facelift

Been really cracking down on the ol convertible. Have the dash cut for factory a/c and my transaxle is cleaned sealed and ready to be mated with the engine! Will start bolting in the shift parts hopefully next week and make this thing look like a car again! 2016-03-16 17.55.56.jpg 2016-02-20 ...

Re: My 68 convertible's facelift

Been digging into the front suspension rebuild, I have most of it painted and prepping for a disc brake conversion along with a drop on the springs. Got the clutch cross shaft rebuilt, it was some nasty grease in that thing. Next step is to clean and reseal the transaxle, concerned about its conditi...

Re: Dual master cylinder unknown

Thank you! I am doing a disc conversion on my 68 and it has a good MS but I may just grab a c10 one for better stopping. All you have to do is get a master for a 67-69 corvair. they are dual from the factory I believe its the same as the 70's c10 actually. The c10 master for front disc, rear drum is...

Re: Hello world Corvair owners

There are a few Sprint conversions floating around here in the states. I have only seen one late model and a early model. As far as Corvairs go, they are all over in my neck of the woods along with some great clubs that keep the hobby fun. Hope to see photos of your car, always cool to hear about th...

Re: My 68 convertible's facelift

Prepping parts for converting the PG into a 4spd. So far everything is looking good with minimal need for replacing other than the norm, had to do some emergency repair on the clutch shaft dust shield. Also cleaning out the heating duct and applying new foam tape to help make it more efficient! Slow...

My 68 convertible's facelift

Havent posted on here in awhile, figured I would hop on and get caught up to show what I been up to. The 66 corsa I have is now being put on hold while I work on my convertible. Just needed more work than I could do right now, while the convertible needs a lot less. Anyways my 68 is a 110 PG car but...

Re: my 1966 corsa project

Getting progress on my engine. Once I have it running and driving the real work will begin and I'll really crank down on body work. Thanks for the support I think it'll be neat to see a 66 corsa among the 65s.

Re: Greetings and Salutations from Fredericksburg, VA

looks like a very solid car! 64 is said to have the best suspension for the early model cars and a spyder at that! The turbocharger mounted on top of the engine like a trophy gets a lot of attention at the car shows.

Re: Limited slip diff's and gearing options

Yeah no need to rush it I figured it wouldn't be easy and may just look for a complete unit somewhere. I shall be happy with my little standard diff until then.
