Re: I'm back, in black! 1967 Monza 110hp coupe
So, status update. Lot has happened. First off, there was a huge bondo mess up front. All over the front half of the passenger fender and all over the front bumper area. I'll try to post a picture, it doesn't like the dimension size of the one I have. But, I don't know if this bondo is to make it ev...

Re: I'm back, in black! 1967 Monza 110hp coupe
That's really just a way to put it. The idea was to put a custom built engine in it, fuel injected, but based off the original engine so it would fit the same. A 5speed transmission, or maybe a 6speed. Also a new suspension, either one off a more modern car that would fit/work with the corvair, or m...

Re: I'm back, in black! 1967 Monza 110hp coupe
I almost wasn't! Wrecked my daily earlier in the year, and almost traded this thing for a daily to use, especially since at the time I had no desire to work on it (lots of private life stuff goin on then). But now I'm workin and making ok money again better than before so I feel like sinking time in...

I'm back, in black! 1967 Monza 110hp coupe
Hey all, been a long time since I was on these boards. My corvair has come a long way since a few years ago, 2016 was a great year for it as I got it running, roadworthy, and then fixed the nuances that came about from it's first time driving properly in well over 20-25 years! In October of 2016 I u...

Re: Gasoline Opinions...
my dad use to fill his mostly with premium (with ethanol) and a gallon or 2 of aircraft grade fuel (think it's like 5-10 bucks a gallon?). granted that side ofnmy family are in the aircraft industry in some form or another and has connections with our local airport, so they could get the gas that is...

Re: heating system?
i have thoroughly cleaned the entire ventilation system. all foam seals (as well as the collar) has been replaced, along with new hoses from clarks earlier this year. not sure if it's running at all 3 speeds. i'll put it another way, with the main oval hose that goes to the main duct off of the blow...

Re: heating system?

Re: Rim identification?
lol well they tend to be when the car sits in the garage for 99% of the year! must be some 2 something year old gas in it at this point (with plenty of preservative). I got some special rims for my own 'vair >:) although having second thoughts as they may require low profile tires, and I'm not a hug...

Rim identification?
Hey all, so basically my grandpa has a set of rims on his corvair. We have been trying to track down exactly WHAT they are, and if we can get some center caps for them. Our search turned uo a 14" 81-88 monte carlo alloy rim, however other than the 2 on ebay we cannot find the same rims anywhere...
