Re: Listing to one side

Thanks for the info. I'll look again this weekend and see; I think they looked like new to me when I was under there poking around, but I've slept since then... I can definitely see the negative camber on the drivers side rear; very noticeable from the side and rear. I can only imagine its stance wh...

Re: Listing to one side

Thanks for all the responses...sorry about my slow response...it's been one thing after another. To answer a couple of questions, yes, the whole car appears to sit low on one side (front to back), and I took my measurements from the top of the wheel wells. I can see that the driver's side rear wheel...

Re: Aluminum or stamped steel oil pan?

I split one wide-open crossing a railroad track on a major street.
Ouch.

Thanks!

I've had it a little over a year, and I haven't done much to it; I had to take apart one carb because...

Thanks!
Would that be the finned aluminum pan they offer?

Listing to one side

Howdy. 'Nuther newbie question... I have a '65 convertible. The car sits 1/4" lower on the driver's side. I hesitate to even ask what might cause this, because it's the kind of thing that is hard to say without looking at the car, and I know this. But, just on the off chance someone might have ...

Aluminum or stamped steel oil pan?

Howdy, Newbie here with a newbie question. I've got a lot of seepage around the oil pan. I've (gingerly) cinched up the bolts to no avail. Quality aluminum valve covers on V8s and I6 engines crush the gasket evenly; I'm thinking the same is true here. Before I pull the pan and replace the gasket, I ...
