Re: Cleaning ductwork
I did a major rework of my 66 More Door which included touching items related to the heater system. Lower shrouds and front panels with duct adapters were bead blasted and painted. The 90 degree steel elbow on the end of the long heat duct was bead blasted and painted. New hoses were installed. The ...

Re: Baptism by fire... Electric fuel pump install.
There are pros about the low oil pressure switch addition and also the use of a tach signal (no cons to either being used) to control the fuel pump On signal. I see the tach signal as a nice to have signal, but not much benefit. What causes a loss of a tach signal: bad key switch, loose wire, bad di...

Re: Cylinder Fixture
Take an unusable engine case half and make it your fixture. I took 4 case bolts / nuts and 4 coupling nuts to make the legs. Also a bunch of 1/2" washers to level the legs. With the coupling nuts I drilled out the threads, so the case bolts would slide through them. Some trimmiing of the case a...

Re: Baptism by fire... Electric fuel pump install.
Since late 2022 Clark's has been saying they will have a new mechanical fuel pump. This is in their catalog now regarding their advice on using their current pumps. Both pumps are out of stock. So no help in keeping with a mechanical pump. Last word from Clark's was pump would be available in Fall/W...

Re: Baptism by fire... Electric fuel pump install.
Herer is my wiring for an external electric fuel pump. I used it on a Greenbrier and my 66 More Door. My 66 Coupe is getting Ted Brown's in-tank fuel pump for carbs. Key points: Don't cheap out on the pump. Get a good one. Have a good electrical system that covers all possible issues. Don't worry ab...

Many HF tools are fine for home use. I did have a good laugh at their recent gold plated SPECIAL EDITION ratchet, offered like a fine collectible. They really put the con in Icon. https://www.harborfreight.com/38-in-drive-professional-special-edition-gold-plated-ratchet-56907.html Must be a 1 mil p...

Corsa wants clubs to encourage their members to join corsa. Who can honestly say that since the elections last year that corsa is an understanding organization that looks out for it members. I am not saying a BOD or two but the whole Corsa as a group. There has been more dissatisfaction with members...

Re: Engine Stand, easy question to answer
I use an engine stand to tear down and buld up an engine, excluding spitting the case. I have a wood stand I lay the block in on its side to split the case halves apart. I use and engine hoist to move the engine to and from the engine stand, my engine test stant, Dave Motohead's lift cradle on a HF ...

Unless he was the sitting president of the club, he had no right to interfere with the individual club meetings and invitees.
He needs to go. He is trying to ruin clubs, like he ruined the CCF.

I told you a few years back I had a running turbo engine for sale. We can still make a deal on it (or anyone else that is looking for one). It is all covered up and stored in my dry garage.

Re: Coil and Resistance wire question
Coils were mounted on the engine because that is where they were used. Nothing about being the best place for the life of the coil. Engines were built and tested in another state from the car assembly plant. Makes sense to have a complete running engine delivered to the assembly plant, whether an ai...

Re: Modified Oil Filter Bolt Woes
ponyguru: You can use the existing bolt, just go to local hardware store and get an 1/8-27 plug to plug its hole. Put some gasket sealant on its threads. It should not need the sealant but why not be safe. Move the oil pressure switch that is right above the bolt to its original position on the engi...
