Re: Space saver tires revisited

Kumho makes the temporary spare tire. Buy it online at Amazon, Wal-Mart and Discount Tire, plus a few more. Amazon has the best price. Goodyear mounted the 2 tires I bought for the wheels I got off eBay. Here is the search I did. https://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&client=tablet-android-samsu...

Re: Engine rebuild

Hi. I am over near Savannah. Not any in south Georgia that I know of. I have rebuilt 2 of my engines, both 110s. They are not difficult to do if you have the space, tools and manuals. Heart of Geargia Corvair Club. Meets next Saturday at Lanes Peach orchard Restaurant at noon. You might want to stop...

Re: Vented & Unvented Gas Tank Filler Caps

1/6" hole. Not bigger.

Here is a photo of my Stant cap. Make sure you put cap on with hole to upper side of filler.

Re: Space saver tires revisited

1993 -2002 Camaro has a 15 x 4" rim. They are on ebay for reasonabler price. But get a new tire. Tire, Space Saver T125/80D15

Tire fits in trunk well very good.

Just have to be aware of steering limit when used on the front. There is a possibilty tire may rub when turned to lock either way.

Re: CORSA BOD playing games on the CCF?

It looks like the owner has blocked me from commentig on her FB page any more. Guess she didn't like me calling her out for usinfg the Corsa Name on a private Corvair FB Page. But if some will go back and set John miller stright about what he thinks Karen is so in tune with Corsa currerntly, plerase...

Re: Vented & Unvented Gas Tank Filler Caps

Pretty much. Unless you know it is positively a NOS gas tank cap, all vented caps "that say vented" and bought today will only vent from excessive pressure in the tank. It will not allow outside ambient pressure in when the fuel pump sucks fuel out of the tank. My 66 More Door cap has a 1/...

Re: LM front spring revisit

Tongue in cheek comment. Everyone who knows ViseGrip Garage knows not to do anything that Derek does to his cars. He does low cost, fast repair, most of the time.

Re: LM front spring revisit

Back in the day, they heated up the coils a bit to weaken them to get the drop they wanted. ViseGrip Garage still does it today.

Re: CORSA BOD playing games on the CCF?

I did post again on the page. In jist I said I apologize for posting the Corsa Bylaw objectives on their faux Corsa site. Also I would go back to lurking since I don't like any page which doesn't have an owner which upholds inclusiveness, friendliness and honesty. Also taking another's Brand Name is...

Re: Looking back to the beginning of the Corvair Forum

I joined Sptember 28, 2023. Much better viewing experience than at CCF was first experience. Then when all the oldtimers from CCF came onboard, it started being interesting almost daily. Very unlike current CCF, but more like the old CCF.

Re: CORSA BOD playing games on the CCF?

I guess everyone need to pile on that FB page and add their own political preference on it. Sort of Trump their candidate so to say. They are just wasting their time and vote with someone who is a low key liberal. Either go full liberal of full conservative and spout your call on their FB page. Cors...
